Bali Villa Hotel in Serene Surroundings

We found this jewel of a Bali villa hotel in a quiet village half way up the mountain between the beach of Sanur and Ubud. If you want to get away from it all, this is definitely a great choice.

I decided to travel to Batubulan and see if the Barong Dance theaters were still existing and active. This village is and always has been the center for this specific dance that is performed for tourists every morning. The original dance restores balance after a disaster or negative event and of course is then shown in a temple.

While studying my Google map I discovered a lonely hotel, there in the middle of nowhere. It is not situated at the main street, not close to any big center for shopping, beach or other tourist attraction. It sits five minutes from the main street to Ubud amidst a rural area; I needed to go and visit.

Bali Villa Hotel; Bumi Linggah

Address: Jl. Pasekan, Banjar Tubuh, Desa Batubulan. The access road is not wide; it is a village road with typical Balinese workshops and activities along it. And then all of a sudden I saw the wide entrance with the big sign. The security check was rigorous and my arrival was announced to the manager in charge.

The plot of land is quite big on the top of a hill and each villa is arranged like a Balinese village along a walkway. A little stream trickles along and bridges give access to typical carved doors. Your paradise consists of little tropical garden and own private swimming pool and is closed off from curious eyes by a wall. The bed rooms open to the pool with sliding glass doors and are big and comfortable.

They do offer all amenities international guest today require; air conditioner, and a mosquito net, luxurious bedding and furniture and a huge bathroom half inside and half in your backyard. The materials and finishes look luxurious but not over the top; fitting for the location. Inside your villa you do have an open pantry and living area. For your convenience next to the lobby you can find a restaurant; they are also happy to cater to and arrange your special party.

This Bali villa hotel Bumi Linggah has managed to blend into the environment perfectly and offers an ideal atmosphere for quiet, secluded and serene holidays. If you are looking to buy wood carvings, paintings or jewelry you are close by the boutiques and workshops for these crafts. Batubulan and Sukawati are also the biggest souvenir markets; you will see the tourist buses stop there. So make your selections for a good price while you are up here in the hills.
