Kuta’s beach front with its Bali Indonesia resorts has been changing a lot over the years. New hotels are built or taken over and old ones disappear. It is very comforting therefore to visit an establishment that has been there for a while, approximately 20 years, and has some history to it.
The classical lobby is surrounded by lush tropical plants and is set back from the main street. This is a beautiful and inviting space to start your holidays in Kuta with its polished marble floors and wooden pillars, holding up the traditional roof and beautiful old style chandeliers illuminating the center. The sofas are wide and comfortable covered in batik fabric. The uniforms of the staff is still the traditional sarong style in pastel colors.
KUTASEAVIEW Boutique Resort & Spa, Jalan Pantai Kuta; it’s bungalows are scattered throughout the vast garden and are lovingly renovated to modern splendor and I am very happy to report that they have kept their Balinese village style in tact. Throughout the property the many Frangipani trees and their white or pink flowers spread a sweet perfume.
In the back there is a new three story building again designed with modernity and typical Balinese art in mind. There are plenty of choices when it comes to accommodation. Do you prefer a large luxurious pavilion in the garden or are you traveling with children and want everybody in the same beautiful room together.
Please bear in mind that there are no elevators in this building. The stairs are wide and open and everywhere you go you find a little nook with sofas and pillows to read or just let your mind wonder and relax and observe the fishes in the many ponds.
The rooms we saw were all huge with shiny
wooden floors and modern bathrooms and beautiful linens. Everything feels
luxurious and also cozy and warm. This is one of the few hotels offering an
iron with board in the closet. Next to each room door there is a stand with two
umbrellas; what an eye to details because remember you are in the tropics and
it rains often.
The famous Rosso Vivo Restaurant is placed at the main street and is open to the public walking by. Next to it, behind a wall hides the free form swimming pool. The spa is housed in its own little cottage in the garden.
Want to explore the beach? Walk over the main street and you are at the famous Kuta beach, surfers prefer this one from the ones on the eastern side of the island. Here the waves can be big and strong and so are the undercurrent, please swim between the flags that are put up by the life guards.
Next to KUTASEAVIEW, along the whole beach walk you find many restaurants and shops, surf schools, mini markets and even a mall. This is a true Bali Indonesia resort worth checking out if you love activity and serenity, each at its chosen time.
There are many beaches in Bali besides this one. To visit all of them you might need a car? Do not forget to read about 'Bali Day'; you might like it or hate it! But first you need to get to Bali, here cheap flights!
