Eden Residence was perfect as Bali Family Hotels Activities because we were in the right location to satisfy everybody. My family is very sportive. Jogging early morning along the Seminyak beach was easy and safe for Irene.
The tennis fanatics were happy in the close by Canggu Club where the heard courts are covered from sun and rain and are still open enough to let the breeze through (there is generally more wind in July, August and September). The teenagers also found a knowledgeable and patient coach to give them some tips for their next competition. Eden Residence is a member of the club and will give you cards to have easy and cheap access to those facilities.
Everybody (except me) had some surfing lessens at the beach a bit further south, past Potato Head Club and some other hotels and restaurants. The best times of the day and your perfect waves depend on the tide and also wind and weather.
Right at the corner of the main street Batu Belig and the little side lane that accesses Eden, our favorite Bali family hotels activities there is a small shop to buy drinks, toiletry and snacks. About half way to Canggu Club is a reasonably big super market that sells fresh and packaged goods; locally sourced and imported. You will find fresh croissants, European cheeses and yogurts, mangoes, star fruits, salak and other fruits in season, Australian beef, local seafood, Kopi Luwak, and beer.
Our favorite eating place is Laguna, just next door. A hip and fashionable bar and hang out place. Sofas and Batik Bean Bags are scattered around an open garden. The list of drinks is long and the menu international with Middle Eastern influences. Although the waiting time for the food is very, very long, we enjoyed our time there. We were on holidays and had plenty of time.
For our farewell dinner we chose Bali Sani Suites right at at the beach. My Swiss family did not want to dine inside a stiff and air-conditioned room so we found our way to the garden where a restaurant was set up complete with a stage for dance performances. We all enjoyed our dinner, from pizza to pasta to seafood; it was all tasty and enjoyable.
Next to the small shop you can also find a car rental. Ibu Made Suartini runs CV. Kubu Cahaya Surya, Hp 08123615775, she also drives herself or asks her husband or son to take over. We were in good hands with all of them when we asked to be driven to our white water rafting appointment, Ketchak Dance at Uluwatu temple in the south and the fabled Tanah Lot temple to the north not far from Eden and Batubulan for the Barong Dance and shopping for souvenirs. Here is Tom's page on things to do.
