Accommodation Indonesia;
Art and luxury in Jakarta

I had a great chance to explore a new accommodation Indonesia in the heart of the capital Jakarta, yes, far from the relaxed Bali beaches and yet very invigorating, colorful and surprising. This time our ladies coffee morning was planned at a relatively new art hotel in the district, where many diplomatic missions and residences also government offices are located. It is attached to the new Ciputra Mall together with a second hotel, the Accord, more budget-friendly and catering to a business people.

But we visited The Raffles, Jakarta Ciputra World 1, Jl. Prof. DR. Satrio No.3-5 and its concept is art. Famous painters and collectors display their treasures throughout the lobby, public areas, hallways and private rooms. There are beautiful chandeliers all over, mosaics and ceiling paintings. The colors too are very unexpected and unique.

We had the great opportunity to be served a High Tea in the Presidential or Royal Suite on the 25th floor. The little sandwiches, canapés, pastries, and chocolates stacked and presented on tiered trays, made in-house, looked like works of art and tasted delicious. More importantly, this is the suite King Salmon of Saudi Arabia stayed in during his visit to Jakarta earlier this year (2017). Just to get access to this floor was not easy. A guest relation employee had to swipe her card in the elevator so that I could reach my destination.

This is the Suite YOU Want to Stay at!

Of course, the suite is stunning; it is not as big as I expected meaning that it only has two bedrooms. The master bedroom with a king size bed is at one end with a luxurious huge bathroom and walk-in closet. There are a fitness and massage rooms too. The other bedroom offers large twin beds and a smaller still luxurious bathroom.

In between the two, there is a big living room and dining room seating twelve or more and again plenty of art pieces. The plush office opens up to the dining room. The kitchen or galley is closed off and hidden, so is the extra toilet. From every window of this suit, you have a spectacular view over this central part of Jakarta. The view is vast since this is the highest tower and nothing blocks the panorama except the mall next door.

The big blue swimming pool divided into sections is on the 14th floor enclosed by tropical palm trees and plants. There you can find plenty of comfortable looking day chairs, a restaurant and the sauna and spa. The treatments they offer are varied, single or for couples, steam or ice. And as in any luxurious hotel, there is a hair salon offering manicure and pedicure.

This is a hotel to pamper all your senses!
