Bali Kuta Hotels are Opening
at a Hip New Meeting Place

These Bali Kuta hotels are affordable, modern and cater to the business traveler as well as to families.  There is a new up and coming street in Kuta Legian, Jalan Dewi Sri. It is situated only about 7 km from the airport and close enough to the most happening places in Kuta, Legian and Seminyak.

Restaurants with a cool vibe and international food are establishing themselves in this area as well. It is a distance away from the beach and all the hustle and bustle and yet the locals come to hang out, so do the tourists. It is a mixture of flavors, tastes and palates.

We Decided to have an Italian Dinner

Warung Pepe, Jl Dewi Sri, Kuta. As soon as you come in from the street you see a typical pizza oven made of red bricks. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the furniture mixed and some of them recycled from old metal barrels and used wood. It is a busy meeting place. There is an upper floor, an open terrace with different kind of seating choices. The toilets on top of the stairs are made of corrugated metal sheets, very inventive. We enjoyed our delicious pizza and spaghetti.

Small Hotels too have found this Street the Preferred Location

Gosyn Hotel Bali. Jl Dewi Sri 9, Kuta. This hotel has a unique design concept. It has incorporated Balinese feature s and combined them with a Japanese minimalistic style. It offers all the modern comfort a traveler could want, inclusive breakfast at a reasonable price. There is even a swimming pool with a bit of a garden for you to relax in on the ground floor.

The Sunset Residence Condotel, Jl Dewi Sri 11, Kuta on the other hand offers apartment style accommodation, which is still rare in this area. You have the choice of 1, 2 or 3 bedroom suites with up to three bathrooms and they each come with a living room, dining area and kitchen. The hotel of course also offers a Café and a swimming pool. A super market is very close by. This is ideal for families and longer staying guests

I like this street because it is not far from the most visited centers of Kuta Legian and even Seminyak, it offers new choices of hotels and restaurants. The locals as well as travelers love to hang out here. It is a real mixture of everything.

You should try: Warung Pepe, Italian and Western food; there is a Thai restaurant there too. Savor Indonesian snacks at Soerabi Bandung or Stickee they serve famous Kue Cubit, Cireng and Ketoprak. There are plenty of Indonesian food stalls that offer:  Martabak, Siomay and Batagor. Nasi Tempong and Mbok Limbok is for people who want to try true Indonesian spicy food.

There are also some chain restaurants like Sari Ratu, HokaHoka Bento, Mc Donalds and Dim Sum Inc. Have fun exploring!

We have also Looked into the Following Bali Kuta Hotels

Ibis Styles Hotels, Jl Dewi Sri 17, Kuta, is a reliable and well known hotel chain. In big cities they cater especially to business travelers. There are several Ibis hotels in different locations in Bali.

Pop Hotel, Jl Dewi Sri 1A, Kuta. This is a modern, stylish budget hotel for smart and eco-friendly travelers.

Spazzio Hotel, Jl Dewi Sri 20, Kuta is a small friendly and comfortable hotel with all amenities like restaurant, swimming pool and very important for local travelers, a prayer hall.

Kathy and I had lots of fun discovering these new Bali Kuta hotels; we will definitely stay in one of them on my next trip.
